Golf Course Instruction

By: Ana Paul Home | Recreation-and-Sports | Golf

Golf is a popular sport that has been enjoyed by people for many years. As the sport has grown in its popularity, choosing a right golf course could be a slightly difficult task. If you are looking for a course to play while you are on a holiday or for a local course or country club to play regularly, the first thing you’d want to consider is the difficulty of the course. Always check out if there are any loopholes for each hole. The maps of the course generally indicate all loopholes for each hole as well as the distance from the tee box to the pin.
While looking over some of the golf courses, make sure that they are in good condition. Take a note of the amount of obstacles that are there on the course (if any). If there is a lot of water or sand traps, then a golfer especially a new one would find it very difficult to play on it. These obstacles are sometimes hard to avoid and can be very disappointing.
Course Rating
Course rating must be done every 10 years for the old golf courses and 3 years for the new ones. This would help in keeping the course management on their toes to improve the standard of their golf courses. If you wonder as to how are golf courses rated, then there is an answer to it. Previously, course rating was based according to the length of the course. Longer courses had higher ratings and obstacles were also considered. So considering the length, obstacles and experience gleaned from playing the courses, the rating is determined.
Always consider the facilities. Some courses have a fully equipped restaurant and 2 circling beverage carts to satisfy your needs while playing the game. Also, be aware of the golf course design as it is the most important aspect of an attractive course. Apart from the attraction of the course, it is also important that its design should be in such a way that it’s easy to maintain.
Golfing has been an international past time for many years and today it is so prolific that there are multiple options for everyone wanting to play the game. So finding a right golf club is very important. Also there are lots of sport magazines available on golf course instructions and Golf Instruction which could be of great help in guiding you.
