Great Wedding Advice For You

By: Ciara Daykin Home | News-and-Society

I always feel really good about a wedding when the couple has their first dance. By this point in the night I can reflect on the event as a whole and really analyze what happened there that day. This is also when I can breathe a sigh of relief, knowing that my couple is married and now enjoying their night.nnWedding Advice on bringing it All TogethernnOrganizing a wedding, especially a big one, involves bringing many pieces together. If you asked me for wedding advice, I would say be organized and be in control of each and every element that makes up the wedding. Effective management will help make sure that everything is moving in the right direction. If things are moving in right direction, it will ensure that the overall wedding experience is exactly the way your couple wants it to be.nn\"What is your best wedding advice for pulling off a grand wedding?\" Now this is a question which I am often asked, especially in a scenario of a big wedding. Now if it were that simple I would have been able to give an answer in a few words. But it isn\'t really. I think the best way to understand this point is if we compare a big wedding to a big movie. There are certain elements that are necessary to make a movie a success. And the same elements are necessary to make a big wedding a success. Here are the elements which are ESSENTIAL to planning a grand wedding:nn1. HIRE a Wedding Planner - This is one of the best pieces of wedding advice I can give. In a big wedding, there are a lot of people who need to be taken care of. You don\'t have the time and energy to do it all on your own. So let someone else do it for you.nn2. You Are The Star, You Need A Great Director - When you\'re trying to pull off a mega wedding, especially if it\'s in a unique or nontraditional location, do not go shopping for a wedding planner on the clearance rack. You need someone that has a strong team, great experience and also someone that has the confidence to handle what you\'re looking for. A great wedding planner lets their couple shine.nn3. Hire a Director You can Connect With - Your director is someone you will be spending a lot of time with. So make sure that you pick a wedding planner you can share everything with and love to spend time with. nn4. Supporting Cast Needs To Be On Board - Make sure that both the bridal party and the parents are on board with what\'s going to happen on the wedding day. They need to be a team and they need to understand what is trying to be accomplished because they play a big role in pulling off this event.nn5. Coordinate the Crew Efficiently - Pulling off a big wedding requires experienced and really talented vendors. Good vendors are able to work as part of a team, understand each other well and go all out to achieve that dream wedding for you. So make sure that the hired vendors are efficient and they coordinate well with each other.nn6. An Incredible Script - The team maybe great but if the script is weak, the movie will not succeed. So here\'s another bit of wedding advice. Be organized. Make sure that each team member has an event binder. The binder should include every bit of essential information. The itinerary should be clearly recorded. Have an hourly schedule ready. The schedule should clearly state where each vendor and each member of the bridal party will be at a particular time. The schedule will help everyone clearly understand their role and bring up any doubts or questions that might come up. The wedding planner will handle all doubts and questions at this stage. So be organized. nnIf you have lofty ideas for your wedding you must understand exactly what you\'re asking for and where you are asking for it to be done. When you\'re sitting down to review your wedding, even if it\'s not a big production, you still need to make sure that you have all the fixings for a wedding that is going to run smoothly.
