Cheltenham Racecourse will once again play host to the annual Greenbelt Festival celebrated every year in Cheltenham. The event will see over 21,000 attendees swarm to Cheltenham and organisers claim ticket sales have increased by 15% this year. The event has been running for over 36 years and prides itself in the centre of Cheltenham, reflecting the town’s festival and cultural diversity.

The Line-up for Greenbelt 2010 is bold, innovative, daring and exciting. Talks will feature new faces to Greenbelt and the Literature programme will encompass poetry, journalism, printed word and new media. The Visual Arts section will include installation, participation and craft, and the comedy line-up features a whole variety of acts and new talent.

Over the years, bands headlining the event have included musicians such as Billy Bragg, Fightstar, Royksopp, Athlete, Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip, Jos Gonzalez, Gilles Peterson, The Proclaimers and Seth Lakeman. Each year, this Cheltenham festival hosts a rich programme of visual and performing arts, spirituality, comedy and talks and discussion †recently welcoming Michael Morpurgo, Tamsin Omond, Anita Roddick, Jasper Fforde, Billy Childish, Union Dance and The Reduced Shakespeare Company.
