Guggul Herbal Treatment For Common Ailments

Guggul is nowadays gaining popularity because of its wonderful healing properties. Known as Commiphora wightii in biological terms, guggul is a bushy herb from which a black color resin comes out. This resin is the plant part that is being used for medication and is famous as Guggul. This shrub is found growing wild in Indian subcontinent and Africa where the soil is less damp.

Some of the most famous Guggul preparations are arogyavardhni vati, Chandraprabha vati, triphala Guggul and many more.

The active ingredient in Guggul is guggulsterone. It is the compound that is responsible for providing Guggul the diversified actions that it possesses. Besides this there are also present certain minerals and vitamins that enhances the properties of guggul.
