If you are a beginner than you should consider learning the blues scale. The best thing about this tone is that it is easy and it gives off a nice sound. Almost 90% of the people who play guitar like to play the blues scale. If you are stuck on the blues scale, seek some help from others. Ask about hand position as this is where you may be lacking. You can easily learn the blues scale basic so you need to practice a bit on it. When you have got your hand set on the basic tone than you can move over the next set of tones in a blue scale. This way you can learn and then move on with good amount of practice.
