Halitosis Or Bad Breath Can Affect Your Pet’s Dog Health

By: Larry Reid Home | Home-and-Family | Pets

Humans are usually aware of how there is a need to brush teeth and look after gums to avoid dental decay and bad breath (halitosis).

Your dog relies on you for quality dog nutrition, fresh water at all times and physical exercise. However, all dogs need good dog health which includes dental care.

Cuddling up to your dog in an evening and realising that his breath smells horrible can be a bit off-putting for family members and even more so for any fussy friends that you invite to your home.

Allowing your dog to continue to eat the wrong pet diet without cleaning his teeth and ignoring your dog’s plight can lead to a chronic condition.

The best action is to take your pet to a local vet for a full examination and dental treatment.

If your pet has no odours emitting from his mouth, yet he starts to drool or throws his food out of the side of his mouth, it may be due to a loose tooth or a build up of tooth decay.

Your pet may have a few dental problems that can be solved to clear up his bad breath. While you are at the vets ask him about dog food and about which quality ingredients that are considered vital for a balanced pet diet.

We at Hills Pets work closely with vets to help owners realise that quality pet food is the answer to dog nutrition. Our balanced quality dog food for a puppy or an adult dog can help to remove plaque from his teeth.

Feeding balanced portions of our food brings a multitude of benefits for your pet’s general dog health. Bones and muscles in a growing puppy require the extra vitamins that can be found in our pet food. Dog nutrition is really important as good balanced dog food helps their digestive tract to remain in good health.
