Hanging Signs At Trade Shows

By: Brent Smookler Home | Business | Advertising

Regardless of the type of display you use at a trade show, it is imperative that your booth stands out from all the others in order to catch the attention of those passing by. While this may not seem very hard, trade shows have hundreds of people with booths wanting to get everyone's attention. While large displays with graphic designs are sure to attract a lot of traffic to your both, it is imperative to stay ahead of the competition in terms of creativity. Hanging signs are a terrific way to make your name visible from far away and hopefully encourage a lot of traffic to your booth.

With this, your display will have a distinctive advantage. A hanging sign is exactly as it is described: a large sign that can be suspended above the booth. Before you go ahead and order a hanging sign, it should be stressed that it is essential to first check with the convention center hosting the trade show to make sure that they will allow them. Most of the larger trade shows will allow it, while many of the smaller trade shows are forced to impose limits on signage due to lack of valuable space available. Once you have found out the rules for hanging signs at the trade show, you need to choose the sign that you want to use.

Some people think that the shape of your hanging sign does not matter, but it is a very important part of the overall appearance of your booth. If you are trying to sell a product or service that is geared to younger adults, or if you specialize in state-of-the-art electronics, you'll want a hanging sign that will visually tell spectators exactly what you are marketing. Rings that are circular will almost always grab attention by adding dimension to your area. There are two types of ring designs: the familiar circular ring design and tapered circle design.

If you select a circular ring hanging sign, your chosen design will be displayed along the outside of the ring bordering a standard circle. A hanging sign that is a tapered circle is a circle that is small at the bottom and enlarged at the top. This makes your company's information and design highly visible to those in attendance at the trade show. Hanging signs are not only lightweight but also sturdy, as they are generally constructed using aluminum tubing for the frame. When covered with fabric, a hanging sign can be seen clearly and smoothly, giving your display a distinct advantage.

You can also get square and rectangular hanging signs, which are available in tapered designs as well. You will need a sign designed to attract the type of people that would be interested in your product or service. It's very important to remember the very competitive nature of trade shows, which is why you will want to make your booth jump out from the crowd.
