Hard Drive Recovery To Resolve hard Disk Not Found Error

By: Garry Thomson Home | Computers-and-Technology | Data Recovery

Hard drive is the major storage device of your computer system, which contain a huge amount of business-critical and valuable data. As it is comprised of many moving components that spins with very high speed, it is quite susceptible to damage. Hard drive internals are quite sensitive and may fail due to extreme heat and degrading factor of the hard drive may lead it to fail and cause serious data loss situations. At this point, hard drive recovery is required to analyze the damaged hard drive and retrieve data from it.

Generally the failed hard drive is not recognized by BIOS (Basic Input/Output System). When the disk fails, you might come across below error message when you attempt to boot your system:

Hard Disk Error - Hard Disk Not Found

This error particularly occurs with the hard drives that use IDE controllers or interface.

IDE or Integrated Drive Electronics is an electronic interface, needed between the storage device and data paths. Like the hard drives are connected to motherboard using IDE interface. This is a standard interface for accessing and transferring data from the hard drive.

The above problem generally occurs due to hard drive controller failure. The IDE controller may fail due to power outage, bad interface cable, accidental drop down and mechanical issues. In such cases, hard drive data recovery is required to retrieve lost data from the affected hard drive.

Before you consider any recovery help, you need to look for the hard drive cables. Bad hard drive cables could also make the hard drive unrecognizable under system BIOS. Thus, you are required to detach the interface cable from both ends and reset them.

If the problem persists, you need to send the failed hard drive to hard drive recovery experts. They first completely analyze the hard drive to find out exact cause of failure and then take corrective action to recover data from it.

Hard drive data recovery specialists work through safe and sterile environment of Clean Rooms using cutting-edge technologies. They know all ins and outs of the hard drive and can handle all of the physical damage situations.

The professionals first repair the affected drive by replacing damaged components and then create image of the disk. Actual recovery process is performed on image of the drive using specified tools.
