Hawaii Self Storage Promotes Shaun Salvador

HONOLULU - www.hawaiiselfstorage.com - Hawaii Self Storage President Daniel Ho today announced the company has promoted Shaun Salvador to Vice President - Sales and Marketing for the locally owned self storage chain. Previously Salvador served as Facility Manager for Hawaii Self Storage. In his new position, Salvador will lead all marketing and sales aspects of the company. For sales, Salvador oversees 30 inside sales associates, coordinating monthly training seminars as well as providing direction to Hawaii Self Storage's two outside sales people. Salvador also steers the marketing for the chain of self storage facilities, handling the advertising, direct mail, public relations, web marketing and public appearances by mascot Mr. Safety. Salvador is responsible for the budgeting and execution of all marketing programs, which will increase substantially in 2008 as two brand new facilities open in Mililani and Kapolei. Finally, Salvador is leading the extensive community outreach Hawaii Self Storage has in place, including the high school scholarship program, Lockers for Literacy elementary school program, as well as other donations and support within the community.

Salvador earned a Bachelors of Science in Business Management from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas. He is a graduate of Kamehameha Schools. Salvador beat out hundreds of other candidates to receive national recognition in 2006 when he was named the self storage manager of the year by Self Storage Now! and Mini-Storage Messenger, the leading industry magazine.
