Healthy Living And What You Eat, Drink And Breathe

Your Body does not cause diseases. It does not have the authority to do so. Instead, it will make every effort to be healthy and get rid of the diseases. When you become sick, it is as a result of what you put inside you. What you Eat, Drink and Breathe will affect your Healthy Living.

In order to live, you need to eat, drink and breathe. The Human Body will metabolize what you put into it. If what is put in is good, then good health is attained. However, in our modern lifestyle, we do not always do so. For centuries, people had a simple way of life - they lived off the land and they were healthy. They ate a lot of fresh food and drank water from the streams and wells, and the air then was clean and pure.

What is the situation now?

Rather different.

Technology has affected our lives. It has made life comfortable - less work to achieve the same results. But nothing is free. We pay one way or the other. And it is costing us our health. But however we look at things, technology is here to stay, not us. This puts us in a dilemma especially when we depend upon the same technology to make us healthy.

And how does what we eat, drink and breathe affect our health, especially with our advanced science?

Simple.

All living organisms, including you, have cells which undergo Metabolic Processes. During Metabolism there is build up of new tissue (Anabolism) and destruction of old tissue (Catabolism).
During anabolism, the body depends upon what you put into it to help build up the new tissues. Being Educated and Intelligent, we know what to eat and drink, so therefore we generally choose our foods and drinks with a certain degree of bias towards health. Right? We'll discuss that in a later article.
During catabolism, there is destruction, and this means waste materials will result. This waste has to be removes as quickly as it forms otherwise it will accumulate in the body. When this waste builds up, it forms poisons or toxins.

Your body is normally able to eliminate these toxins effectively primarily through the liver and kidneys. The buildup of harmful substances or toxins in the body is called Toxemia. This causes these primary eliminatory organs to overload, so the surplus toxins are passed through the secondary organs - the skin and mucous membranes, But with constant overloading, your body begins to deposit the toxins in the more centrally located vital organs and systems.

In a healthy person, the liver and kidneys function efficiently, and can do so for decades. These organs unfortunately are given a run for your life in today's lifestyle. You see, in an attempt to make life more comfortable, we sacrifice a lot. Our priorities change. We become slaves to a Modern Lifestyle. Time suddenly becomes our greatest enemy. We just can't seem to have enough time.

You now have put emphasis on other things than your health. The bills keep coming - mortgage, utilities, insurance, school, medicals, etc. These have to be paid in order for you to live the life you want. If you don't, you lose too much. How would it look? We have to keep up with society. We actually become Slaves to these demands. And who is the Master - Technology and its syndrome?

Now mind you, I have nothing against technology, in fact I welcome it. But it must come second to Man, not the other way around. Man must use Technology, Technology must not use Man.

And in keeping with the demands of our lifestyle, you eat to suit. You simply don't have the time to cook so you let others do the cooking. That saves Time. And you pay it back later - with your health.

Let's go back just one century, and compare foods.

The foodstuff that was eaten then and now hasn't changed much, or so we think. Technology has taken over the agricultural sector. Pesticides, fertilizers, genetic breeding, use of antibiotics, vaccines and hormones are now common. Mechanization and the ability to produce new varieties and breeds of both plants and livestock which are much larger and produce greater yields are common practice today. Last century's potato was a small "wild" variety compared with today's hybrid. A chicken can attain over 6 lbs in 8 weeks. Technology has stepped in order to feed the world, and we owe it thanks.

There will be side effects. Agricultural products are short term products. They have a short lifespan of a few months, making it impossible for the crop or livestock to metabolize and eliminate these substances effectively. The pesticides are poisons, enter the food, pollute the soil and water and are eventually consumed. The medicines in the animals eventually enter us. We all would like to live long, so they build up and add to the toxins in our bodies.

Processed foods are laced with sugars and denatured starch, salt and other preservatives. We tend to use the Microwave oven as a substitute for the stove and radiation affects the genetic structure of any organic material which makes it indigestible.

Where has water gone as a drink? It has been replaced with a variety of other drinks which are laced with substances to enhance flavor, energy, health, and God knows what else. What about the stuff that you breathe in?

The constant and consistent overburdening of your body with toxins will eventually overburden the Primary organs of Elimination and lead to toxemia. When this happens the Secondary organs will be overworked and your body, in an attempt to eliminate these toxins will signal to you what is happening. Unfortunately, these signals are misinterpreted as diseases and instead of assisting your body to overcome the toxemia; you end up taking medicines which put greater stresses.

If we look at a young child, we notice that he is usually always full of energy, and when something is wrong, there is a reduction in the energy level. That is how we first notice that the child is sick. This energy level, Vital Force or lan Vital is an indicator of health. We may not be able to measure it, but we can certainly observe it. There are some around us who are full of this Energy, "Full of Life" as we put it and are always bouncing around us happily. We even get some of this when they are around. Sometimes you may even wish to be like that.

For centuries people have been living healthy naturally. We must give them credit. That is why we are here today. Unfortunately the natural way of life that has prevailed is being lost and replaced by other "modern and scientific" ways of life. This is why it is a fact that over 97% of the population is no longer enjoying a healthy living, and that unhealthy lifestyles are being promoted as normal today.
