Tell anyone and everyone about that date. This makes you be accountable for quitting by that date. Hold a ceremony to celebrate the last cigarette. *Use visualization to see yourself as a non-smoker. Begin by closing your eyes and imagine yourself turning down offers of cigarettes. See yourself throwing all your cigarettes away. *Make an effort to find another smoker who is trying to quit. Being a buddy and having support can make the process easier because you have someone who is going through the same thing as you. The reasons to quit smoking are as varied as the reasons someone began to smoke in the first place. They may have begun to smoke because of a dare or peer pressure. Most people did not start smoking with the idea that they would become addicted for life. No matter which method you use or combination of methods, quitting smoking is the best thing anyone can do. It will add years and life to your life that can be enjoyed with family and friends.
