Back 10 years ago when people had a number on their caller id that they didn't know they did a phone number search. A phone number search is a search based off of a persons' name and location. If you believed that the person calling could have been a friend or relative with a phone number search you could look up that person and see if they were indeed the one who called. However the phone number search doesn't allow you to look for the person by the phone number, it has to be by the name to see the phone number. Now however, we have a changing world that includes a reverse phone lookup. By doing a reverse phone lookup on the internet you can see all the details. You can see who the person was, where they are from, who their household members are and you can look them up in minutes. Even if the number was a cell phone all you have to do is a cell phone lookup. A cell phone lookup just does what it states it is capable of looking up cell phones. Some directories cannot do a cell phone lookup because it takes too much technology to track every cell phone. But some do cell phone lookups all you have to do is see which directories have the capability if you think that the person calling you is from a cell phone. Put the number you found on the caller id from your phone online and see what it shows on a reverse phone lookup. With a reverse phone lookup they show you a map of the location where the phone call came from, now you have think if you know anyone in that area. If you don't and the number is a weird number that you've never seen it's probably a SPAM caller. To avoid this issue go online to the government's do not call website and register. They will put you in their database to not be harassed with telemarketers and SPAM callers, if for some reason they keep calling make sure to go online and mention that you did a reverse phone lookup and that after checking you seen that the number that called you before called again even after you had already signed up for the do not call registry. Once you identify that the number you did a reverse phone lookup for is indeed a unknown number that is SPAM, then you can report that number online. You may even pursue the complaint more if you wish to.
