Home Remedies For Dark Circles: Get Rid Of Dark Circles

Dark circles under eyes are a common problem in men and women. Under eye dark circles give us an appearance of illness. The major causes of dark circles are lack of proper nutrition, stress, excessive smoke or alcohol. There are some useful and effective home remedies for dark circles. Following home remedies are helpful in getting rid of dark circles.

Healthy Eating: It is not only important for your overall nutrition but also for your eyes and skin. If you take proper diet with plenty of fruits and green vegetables, which are rich in beta carotene, then you will be promoting healthier eyes. Carrots, papaya, spinach, mango, and green leafy vegetables are all excellent for this purpose.

Reduce dark circles with the help of cucumber or potato: Slices of cucumber or potato are very effective and easy home remedies to reduce circles around the eyes. Close your eyes and cover your eyelids with a slice for 10-15 minutes. This gives relaxation and increases the circulation and gives you a feeling of wonderful renewal.

Yoga: Sarvangasana is considered to be the best yoga posture for dark circles. It should be performed daily. Apart from this great yoga posture, Brahmri Pranayam is also extremely beneficial for making your eyes look beautiful and younger than ever. It reduces your dark circles, stress and fatigue permanently. It is also good for your ears.

Exercises: Everyone knows that exercise play a vital role in our healthy life. But many of us forget to do eye exercise. Eye exercises are as much important as other exercises. Eye exercises for 5 minutes daily keeps away dark circles and improve eye sight too.

Stop Smoking: Smoking is one of the main causes of dark circles. It can damage your skin cells and destroy some vitamins present in your skin. It dehydrates your skin when combined with the intake of coffee, tea and other high-caffeine drinks. To get rid of dark circles under eyes, you must quit the habit of smoking.

Rose Water: Rose water has an excellent rejuvenating and cooling property. It can effectively reduce dark circles under your eyes. To get rid of under eye discoloration, soak a cotton ball in 5-10 drops of rose water and apply it on closed eyes for nearly 10-15 minutes.
