Homemade Raw Cat Food For Greater Dietary Health

By: healthandmedicineupdates Home | Shopping-and-Products | Product-Reviews

Something such as a raw cat food diet may sound slightly alien to you, as you’ll most likely be used to feeding your cat a shop bought, pre cooked food from a can or package. This, you may think, is the best option for your cat, and it is wise to keep buying and feeding your cat such foods. However, there is research that suggests feeding your cat a raw food diet as the best option.

Homemade cat food can be extremely beneficial when Feeding Kittens or fully grown cats, as the benefits can be felt even in later life †your cat does not need to have been feed on raw foods its whole life to make the change, although it is beneficial to start the cat on raw food as young as possible in its life in order for it to reap the benefits for the longest possible period of time.

Tests have shown that in a controlled scientific environment, where the tests are carried out to extreme degrees, cats on a raw food diet coped will and had good health, whereas cats on a cooked food diet had issues with reproduction after just a few generations. In addition, these cats also developed medical issues such as mouth and gum disease along with bladder and heart problems, also within just a few generations.

However, you would think that this would ruin the line of successive cats in their bloodline †this is not the case, as when changing these cats to a raw food diet, and all their successive children to such a diet, the bloodline returned to a fully healthy one within a few generations. The benefit of this raw food diet is clear for all to see.

Homemade Cat Food may sound like something that will make you uneasy, as the onus is on you to create the food suitable for your cat to eat. The process is extremely simple and almost impossible to get wrong, but you can be safe in the knowledge that even if you do somehow manage to mess up, your cat will be fine; in the wild, cats eat all sorts of things, living and dead, which can hold a range of bacteria inside.
Despite this, a wild cat will survive, due to their highly acidic stomachs, which are prepared to deal with most things they can throw at them.

If you are still worried about contaminates or issues with homemade cat food there are some easy steps which you can take to be safe:

Keep all surfaces and hands used to prepared food 100% clean at all times

Add probiotics to the food, to aid intestinal health

Buy meat from a trustworthy butcher

Steer clear of ground beef from the supermarket in packages, it will not be as fresh as that from a butcher
