More often than not, female population is the most common target of the troublesome acne dilemma. This is not because acne is picky on who it should affect, it is because women are more prone to hormonal changes. From adolescent period to adulthood, hormonal change is considered as part of their life hence they are more prone to acne breakout.Not even the most popular celebrity is an exemption to the rule. The reason why they still look flawless in TV and Magazine is because they are knowledgeable how to conceal it. There are some events in a woman's life where change in hormones happens, thus acne is an obvious side effect. Acne starts to appear when change in hormones happens as a woman steps on her adolescent period. Hormonal level for male will start to increase at this stage, this applies for both male and female since they both have Androgens. High level of androgen will trigger the oil ducts which make the oil ducts to function faster. As a result of high level of androgens, there will be an overproduction of skin's natural oil which can clogg the pores leading to formation of acne. When combined with scabrous environment factors like bacteria from pollution, nasty viruses will start to grow. This can be the beginning of inflamed and troublesome acne. Women with a regular menstrual cycle, can see and feel some signs that their menstruation is about to come. Change in hormone can cause a woman's breast to become tender and mood swings, having visible acne is also an evidence. It has no big difference to undergoing the stage of adolescence as the androgen level boost, on the other hand, not all women undergo with the same dilemma on the course of upcoming period. Oral contraceptives are said to be useful in prevention of acne even in the event of hormonal change but this does not apply to pregnant women. Women during her pregnancy period are also subject to hormonal change and growth of acne. As the level of androgen is increasing inside her body, others took it a sign that the pregnant women is about to bear a baby boy. Even these events are unavoidable; acne can be prevented and cured in different ways, less the raging hormones.
