Hotel Accommodation For A Romantic Break

By: Dominic Donaldson Home |

In the fast pace of today's society, it's not unusual for couple's to struggle finding so-called quality time together. Weekdays just seem to fly by and weekends at home seem to compose of household chores and DIY projects. So where's the time to just be together? No children, no chores, no responsibilities, just the two of you. The answer is can be found with romantic breaks. Pick the right hotel accommodation for your escape and you'll wonder why you didn't start making the time sooner.

We may love our jobs, our homes and our everyday routines of looking after the children, meeting friends after work or joining team mates in a weekly game of sport. However it's only when we take time away from it all that we can appreciate the smaller things in life, like the importance of spending alone time with our partner. By escaping for a few days, enjoying lazy lie ins, reading the papers, cooking romantic meals, going for strolls in the country and laying by the open fire at night is a fantastic way to leave your regular routine behind and recharge the batteries, as well of course, as keeping the spark in your relationship.

Ultimately your hotel accommodation will play a key part in setting the mood for the weekend so you want to make sure you get it spot on. The first thing to think about is location. Where do you want to spend your romantic break? People often assume they have to go overseas to warrant taking a break. However with such an incredible selection of spectacular hotels and locations right here in the UK, you really don't have to escape far. The less time you spend travelling, the more time you have to enjoy so perhaps look for somewhere close by that you can get to easily.

Think about the kind of surroundings you are after. Ideally, a romantic break will take you away from the sights of everyday life so a rural location is usually preferable; however the choice is yours. If you are planning on going to the theatre or dining out for an evening meal for example, you may require a location closer to the city.

Your choice of hotel accommodation will ultimately come down to budget and what you can afford however low cost doesn't have to mean low quality. The beauty of accommodation in the UK is that there are hotels for all occasions and all budgets and with so much choice available to us customers, hotels are being forced to price their rooms competitively, so don't rule out your options until you have checked the prices.

The style of hotel accommodation you chose will naturally come down to your personal preference. For some, the idea of spending a few days in an old country house in the Cotswolds or New Forrest for example, is the epitome of relaxation. Top class hotels will include day spas, fitness facilities, plasma-screens in the bedrooms, CD players, roll-top baths, flowers, champagne and chocolates. The restaurants in these more secluded hotels tend to offer excellent food services so you don't have to worry about driving out to dine. The idea of these locations is that you don't need to leave the premises all weekend, perfect for those who want to leave the car keys on the side and relax for a few days.

You may perhaps chose a smaller, boutique hotel, close enough to the city for its amenities but quiet enough to feel you've escaped from the urban chaos. In the cosier hotel accommodations, you are likely to find log fires, designer toiletries, seductive lighting, and scenic views, with a classy bar at which to enjoy a night cap.

Don't be fooled in to assuming these luxurious hotels always come with a luxurious price-tag. There are many excellent hotel accommodations available around the UK and if you book early, you often get a cheaper rate. Lower cost hotels still offer you many of the treats of those higher priced, such as deluxe bedrooms, stylish and contemporary decor, TV and DVD players, mini-bars, slippers, robes and newspapers.

Whatever you have in mind and however you plan on spending your break, there will be hotel accommodation to suit your requirements, just perfect for a romantic few days away.
