The role of shops is to sell you goods (get over it!) however, this does not mean that their usefulness starts and ends with sales. Instead, many shops can also offer you advice in regards to what product is best suited to your needs, or even where you are likely to get the best prices. A BMX shop is exactly the kind of retailer that wont mind going above and beyond the sales process to help you find your perfect BMX for your needs. This is because people who tend to work in bike shops have a passion about bikes, which they will be more than happy sharing with customers, even if they don't achieve a sale. The most obvious way that a BMX shop will be prepared to help you is by advising you as to what bike will suit your budget and/or skill level. The chances are that if you are asking for help, then you will be a beginner looking for a cheap BMX, in which case a good BMX shop will be able to advise you accordingly. As well as ensuring that you choose the perfect ride, a BMX shop will also be able to advise you in regards to the right equipment, and also the best places to practise your new passion. If your lucky, you might also get a demonstration of a few BMX basics. Besides the personal touch that high street BMX shops will be able to offer you, unfortunately shopping at a high street may not pay off in other ways. Instead, by going to an online merchant you are likely to find a better price and a more expansive choice. With this in mind, if you are looking for a cheap BMX, by all means seek the advice of your local BMX shop, but don't commit to buy until you have corroborated prices with online merchants.
