I travel frequently across the United Kingdom in my role as a Business Coach. In the course of this, I meet a wide range of business owners and managers, most of whom would benefit from a coaching program. All of my exclusive one-on-one coaching opportunities unleash the power of positive thinking to overcome personal limitations. The most common of the limitations that I encounter among high-flying executives is a subconscious lack of self-confidence. A sense of confidence in oneself is an effective key to success in any environment, and is especially important in the cut-and-thrust of business. The presence or lack of confidence is common across the full spectrum of personality types and business endeavours. The last thing that a person needs to do is to worry about a lack of confidence, when professional coaching can consign it to the past. A comprehensive business coaching programme will include some or all of the following depending on individual circumstances: oAnalysis of situations where low self-confidence emerges oGaining clarity of vision and goals oAchieving goals CONSISTENTLY oTurning the tables to one’s own advantage oSeeking the advice of others, including peers and friends oAnticipating positive outcomes regardless of past experience oDressing and acting for, and expecting success oActing positively and decisively, and without artificially delaying things oGrowing in confidence with every victory oCelebrating success Despite the effectiveness of these strategies, many successful businesspeople and managers still invite business coaches to help discover their extent of their latent self-confidence. They regard this as an expression of their ongoing search for business and personal excellence and innovation, not as an expression of defeat or failure.
