The current recession has caused many to lose their jobs, has made many homeless, and many have lost hope that anything good can happen. However we all know that when things get very bad, the only way out is upwards. There can be no more down. Self employment and running your own business has started to look more attractive than ever. As more and more company’s spring up everyday, quite honestly, it’s the ones that are able to market themselves very well that steal the show. Other than delivering quality products and services, customer care, attractive offers, impressive packaging, after sales support etc, it’s about how well you market your product and how well you are able to present it to prospective audience, beating all of your competitors. Now, business development is all about evaluating your business, realising its full potential, and understanding the heights it can achieve. It requires good market research, hitting the right audience, analysing production and sales processes, and excellent management. A good, efficient organisation never stops business development, it always thinks of things that can be improved, or improvised on; things that can be introduced, and those that need to be done away with. One of the things that determine the success rate of any kind of business is its willingness to let go of outdated and obsolete technology and skills, and replace them with new fresh ones, keeping with the time. That said, attracting customers is one of the most crucial things a business needs to be able to do. It is a known fact that people are not going to spend on something they are doubtful about. Unless it’s the share market, people like to keep the risk low. Even there, only those companies which have a certain established stability will be able to sell shares. So what is the latest non obsolete way of attracting customers and marketing your firm/business? We’re going to look at advertising. Advertising is one thing that will never go obsolete; it just changes style from time to time. Again, we all know the best ads have the best videos, whether on TV or on the internet. It’s those flashy colourful videos that everyone is going to click on, rather than some boringly done textual ad somewhere in the corner of the page. The power of videos is known to all and doesn’t really need to be elucidated. From the owner of a lingerie store, to a web hosting firm, every business can reach out to potential customers via videos. If you are the owner of any kind of business, get busy making appealing videos. Use just the right amount of text, good colour, good images, and most importantly, a good FLV player . When you put a video on your site, the worst thing you can do is have a terrible player that is going to annoy viewers. With loads of good ones available in the market, it’s just a matter of some research. You will also be able to find useful information to help you make a good video, on the internet.
