When in London, there are many different things to do. You can wait for the changing of the Queens Guard in Buckingham Palace or see Big Ben at the Clock Tower of the Palace of Westminster. But what most tourists and visitors in London find really exciting is the opportunity to watch some of the most impressive musicals in Londons West End. Whilst the West End also contains many of the citys major tourist attractions, the theatres are still the areas primary tourist magnet. After all, London musicals leave a lasting mark in the hearts and minds of people that every time they visit London, they keep coming back for more. A big part of Theatrelands great success is the unwavering efforts of the people behind each musical. Producers, writers, composers and directors are bold enough to showcase unique musical plays. Actors and stagehands, on the other hand, give their best whether its gala night or the succeeding runs. You cannot help but feel a sense of pride in their work. Along with the theatre productions in Broadway, the West End productions of well known musicals are considered a class act. Take a look at Jersey Boys, a successful jukebox musical on Broadway and other cities in the US. This documentary-type musical was well received by the West Ends younger members of the audience, despite the fact that Jersey Boys revolves around the members of The Four Seasons, a once popular American band that paved the way for the likes of Beatles and Bee Gees. The cast and crew of this production took to the stage and transformed this original Broadway hit into a musical with a West End trademark flair. It only goes to show that with the right artistic direction, a musical can make each audience member leave the theatre in awe. Some people flock to the Jersey Boys London theatre even though they have already seen the show in other countries. Visually stunning production sets also play an important role in the success of a musical play, as will elaborate set designs and remarkable costume pieces. It is as if every character of each musical come alive right in front of your eyes. Of course, a musical will not be complete without music and lyric. And this is where West End musicals clearly stand out. Most of the musicals and theatre plays here have well-known musical directors at the helm. Classics like Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Cats and Phantom of the Opera would not have been successful without Andrew Lloyd Webbers musical genius. In fact, music alone can fill any theatre to capacity. Just look at how the music of Elton John raises the sales of Billy Elliot tickets. As it is, the plot of Billy Elliot the Musical is quite interesting. The story of a boy who traded boxing gloves for dancing shoes is simply heartwarming. The audience loves the film so much that it became an instant box-office hit movie in 2000. When it was first produced in 2005, some outstanding songs were added to the mix to make Billy Elliot the Musical one of the well-loved shows in Londons West End. For its part, the audience members of West End productions have a refined and discriminating taste for the performing arts. This is what pushes theatre actors to show their best form during a performance. But that is not to say that the audience members do not appreciate a good show if they ever saw one. In fact, the popularity of a musical on West End spread like wildfire as the audience members who have watched it recommend them to their friends, families and acquaintances. If you are heading to Jersey Boys London Theatre or any London Musicals without securing a ticket first, you might end up watching the late runs. Or if you are looking for Billy Elliot Tickets for you and your friends hoping to get a good seat, then you might be disappointed. Always expect the theatres to be full of people, especially on Saturdays. It may be hard for you to get a ticket just a few hours before the show starts, so you better secure the tickets prior to going to the theatre.
