How Membership To A Network Can Help A Microsoft Certified Partner

By: Brian Ocheltree Home | Computers-and-Technology | Software

A Microsoft Certified Partner is a company who has met certain requirements. These requirements are quite extensive depending on the certification level. Some partners are listed as certified training partners while others are considered a Gold partner. These levels are determined based on the expertise demonstrated by each company. Once a certain expertise level has been reached, the company may apply for a Gold status.

A Microsoft Certified Partner may elect to become listed with a network or directory. Many companies offer these networks or directories as either a free service or for a fee. Each level offers several incentives for the Microsoft Certified Partner which is why it is in the best interest of the partner to become listed in one of these membership levels.

Every company which hosts a network or directory has different membership levels. However, most membership levels offer very similar benefits. A basic membership offered to a Microsoft Certified Partner includes the corporate listing in the company directory. This membership also includes the ability to upload any materials to the network regarding sales or marketing which may help generate business. This allows customers to have access to potential items which may help generate more revenue. Membership at this basic level usually involves being included in a targeted search engine.

The next membership level offered by many companies has several additional benefits for a Microsoft Certified Partner. These benefits include the same advantages offered at the basic membership level plus more. Typical benefits include the position of top search results. This means that a membership at this level will help the Microsoft Certified Partner reach the top results when customers are searching within that particular industry. This is a great advantage as it offers more exposure for a company. Another benefit offered at this level is that the Microsoft Certified Partner may frequently be listed as a featured partner. As every company is different, these advantages may differ slightly.

Most companies offer a third membership level. This membership level typically requires a monthly, quarterly, or yearly fee but the benefits are well worth the investment. A Microsoft Certified Partner at this level includes a great deal more of advertising capabilities. This means a partner may run banners on various sites or use an adword campaign to increase search engine results.

Membership levels will differ by company, but are very important for a Microsoft Certified Partner. As a member, the partner is entitled to certain advantages which can increase one’s exposure and revenue.
