These are available in different technical specifications and can be customised to suit the specific needs of the customers.

Carbon Steel Plates "" Versatile and Functional Alike
Carbon Steel Plates are used in many applications like general engineering and mechanical purposes. These can withstand tremendous amount of weights and pressure and are available in varying thicknesses and shapes. From coils to strips, circles and rings, carbon steel plates can also be made to suit the specific requirements of the customer. In Carbon steel, the main alloy will be carbon and this term is also used to refer steel which is not stainless steel, which differs from carbon steel in the amount of chromium present.

Carbon steel is not rust proof and can corrode when exposed to air and moisture; whereas stainless steels contain sufficient chromium to form a protective coating of chromium oxide, which prevents surface corrosion.

More the carbon content, stronger will be the steel. However this form of steel are less ductile and are prone to breakage and hence is not suited for welding. In countries like the US, Eighty-five percent of all steel used is carbon steel.
