How To Care For Natural Curly Hair To Enhance Your Curls?

By: John Petersons Home | Health-and-Fitness | Beauty

Natural curly hair requires moisture. You should avoid any products that contain alcohol or grease. If you want to restore your hair to its natural healthy, lustrous beauty you need to use products developed for naturally curly hair. Products to be avoided are ones that contain cheap oils that will weight down your curl.

Natural products that contain avocado or coconut oils, coconut milk, murmur or shea butters, and aloe juice are excellent choices for naturally curly hair. Other ingredients that are good include Arnica, Green Tea, Ho Shu Wu, Calendula and Chamomile extracts as these ingredients will put a bounce back into your curls.

If you have naturally curly hair it is important that you keep the hair moisturized. You can apply hot oil treatments as often as once a week if necessary. You should shampoo less often especially during the winter months. Look for sulfate free products as they are gentler to your scalp and hair.

When you shampoo curly hair you may opt to omit the shampoo altogether. Girls with curly hair can often get away with using a conditioner to remove excess oil and dirt. It is recommended that you do shampoo your hair two to three times a month. Natural curly hair products that contain ingredients that strips your hair of essential elements should be avoided.

Conditioning is the most important thing for curly hair. Proper application of conditioner is important. Begin to apply conditioner to the middle area of your hair and not the roots working your way down to the ends of your hair. Comb the conditioner completely through your hair applying extra conditioner to the ends. Allow it to penetrate and rinse well.
