How To Double The Price Of Your Ebook And Increase Sales

If you are planning on writing an ebook, you know that it takes lots of research to put together a quality product. One way that many people do research is by doing interviews with people who are respected in the field. If you’re planning an ebook that requires this type of research, you can double the amount of more that you can charge for your product.

Let’s assume for purposes of this example that you have written a 50-page ebook. After doing some research on similar products, you plan to sell it for $37. This is about average for a good quality 50 page ebook. And let’s assume that part of your research involved interviewing 3 experts in the field. By converting those three interviews into a good mp3 and including it in your ebook package, you could increase the price you charge by about 25%. People perceive a recording as having real value and they are willing to pay for it.

However, if you really wanted to be upscale, you could take that same recording and put it on a CD (along with a nice looking label) and include that instead of the mp3. Including a CD with your ebook is valued very highly by some buyers. When using a CD Ebook combination, you can almost double the price of your original product. Of course, you should keep in mind that you will also have higher expenses using this technique. There are envelopes, postage, CD’s, labels, and possibly artwork that you have to work into the price.

If you plan on using interviews for your next ebook, get a release that the person you are interviewing can sign that gives you the right to use a recording of the interview in any manner you choose. You can find legal releases by doing a search.
