One of the most important and effective ways of getting free traffic to your website is through writing articles. It is surprisingly very simple to do and free as there are many internet article directories that provide free space. Ideally, all you need to do is write an article on a topic directly related to your website, and then submit it to article directories. Article directories allow you to include a resource box for every article you will submit. Inside this resource box, you could include a link to your website. Unlike adwords that will produce results in minutes, article writing will take about a week to start seeing the results. The good thing is that once the free traffic start coming, it continues to do so for months. People find article writing tedious and this coupled with the fact that the result are not instantaneous, the whole exercise of article writing is postponed for weeks and months. It's certainly worth it when you consider how many hits a well written, relevant and interesting article can bring to your website. In addition, let's assume every three days you submit one article writing to 200 article directories. In one month you will be having ten article writings in each of the 200 article directories. If in each directory each of your 10 article writings is each read by only 20 people, then in 200 article directories, your article writings will be read by 40,000 people. From this, one out every ten readers will follow your article writing resource box links to your website. This will translate to 4,000 visitors to your website every month. These are your visitors; sell to them what you can. This number of 4,000 visitors per month may look small but it will become very interesting figure with time due to multiplier effect. Finally, Google is desperately looking for article writing like yours. Google will pay you hot dollars to run their competing ads called Adsense next to your article writing. Do not worry of competition because bankers are known to live together. The little Google will pay you from their Adsense will help you pay telephone bills. When you search for article directories to submit your articles to, include a few of those that are Adsense revenue sharing ready. Adsense revenue sharing article directories are those article directories that will let you earn adsense money when they display your article writing.
