Everybody is wearing them and if you are worried about spandex that may be emphasizing your bottom and waist (but not in a good way), then you better read these tips to lose weight and get those jeans zipped up. Drink a lot of water, water is great for you as you are dieting. It’s hot outside so it is easier to drink the suggested amount (64 ounces) without getting bloated. Water helps make you full longer and keeps your system flushed out. Drinking an eight-ounce glass with your meals helps act as an appetite suppressant. Space it out all day. If you get bored with plain tap water, try flavored water. Just make sure not to get the flavored waters with sugar or other chemicals in them. Water is going to be your best friend while losing weight and getting in a smaller pair of jeans, it is my favorite tip! Portion control is crucial. Probably one of the leading diets that are successful, Weight Watchers, teaches people about portion sizes. We must eat less to get thin. Don’t starve yourself though. That is very dangerous! It is best to lose one to two pounds a week. If you starve yourself, then you are going to go crazy and end up eating a whole lot of food in one sitting when you finally lose control. Just cut back on portions, that’s going to make a difference. Try cutting the sugar and fat, they are ingredients that add a lot of calories. Make sure to avoid those crazy fad diets. Pick out a plan that is simple for you to follow. If you aren’t sure, call your health care provider to help you find the right food plan. Weight loss can be healthy as long as you are following a sensible plan. Smaller portions are another quick tip to get you in those skinny jeans without having to suck in your gut all day! Those jeans are cute but they emphasize everything we want to hide. Exercise every day. I once heard a physical therapist say that we won’t exercise daily if we don’t like the workout. That’s true for most people. Going to the gym can be fun if you can get a friend to go with you. Friends are great for support especially if you are struggling. Find an exercise plan that you really enjoy. Try one of the dance exercise DVDs if you don’t really like to exercise. They can be a lot of fun and burn a bunch of calories. You need to incorporate cardio with strength training. Another tip is to add resistance bands to your training. You need to get several sizes so you can increase your workout load. They are inexpensive and very effective. You really must exercise every day to see results. So these tips will make it happen for you. Don’t get discouraged. It won’t happen in a day. You have to stick with it. Once a month, take the measurements of: your arms, chest, waist, legs and buttocks. You will see the inches come off over time. Record the results to check your progress. The tips for weight loss must be done together, you cannot pick and choose. You won’t lose weight and keep it off if you decide you don’t want to work for it.
