The first thing you need to take into consideration is how much water you are drinking. Water will do wonders to help clean out your system and boost your digestive abilities. If you are not a big fan of drinking water, then eat plenty of fruits, which are largely composed of water anyway. You also need to keep an eye out on how much milk you drink and how many dairy products you regularly consume. If you find that they give you gas, then cut back on your portions. You do not have to cut them out completely, just enough to lower the gas output.

Investigations in the use of probiotics as dietary supplements are recent, however, the use of fermented foods containing probiotics predates the use of refrigeration. The supplementation of natural microflora has been dated as early as the late nineteenth century. Even then, some physicians attributed diseases of aging to the build up of waste products (or, putrefaction) in the colon, and the leakage of related toxins into the bloodstream, called autointoxication.

A person suffering from constipation often or always produces hard stools that may be difficult to pass; the rectum may not feel completely empty and the patient feels full or bloated every time. He may feel pain making a bowel movement or can feel strain to make a bowel movement or can notice a little blood on tissue paper after a painful bowel movement. The problem is quite common with a busy lifestyle and usually happens because a person's diet doesn't include enough fluids and fiber.
