If you have suffered credit score loss, then you need to take fast action to start your credit score repair. With the financial crisis that has hit the US and Europe, many people have had their credit history tainted with derogatory remarks. To improve credit score in any of the three major credit reporting agencies, you need to explore and apply many different methods and secret techniques. Write the three credit reporting agencies to get a free copy of your credit report and credit score. 2. After you receiver these reports, examine them to see if they contain errors in your personal information. If they do, make a list of these errors. 3. Look for simple errors. A simple error can be a wrong spelling by one letter of your middle name. Don’t over look any error. Then in a letter to the agency, list three of these types of errors and indicate why they are errors, and that you want them to be removed immediately. If you find any, write to the reporting agencies and point out that these accounts are over seven years old and that you want to have them removed. 5. Tell them you are now trying to make your payments on time and want to work with them to fully repay your loan. If they do not want to remove the derogator remarks, write to the agencies and ask them to remove these accounts, since they have errors. The lenders have 30 days to respond to your challenge, and if they don’t, the agency has to remove these accounts. 6. Work each month to try to remove one bad account on your credit report. Write to the credit reporting agencies concerning only one account and handwrite all your letters. If the bad account is not removed, then work on this account again 2-3 months later. 7. To get outside help on your credit report, consider using a paralegal or lawyer. Their help can accelerate your credit score repair efforts. 8. Whenever you have difficulty in paying your credit cards or loans on time, call the lender and tell them your payment will be late. Ask them not to report this to the credit agency. 9. Always try to make your payments on time. Don’t over charge your credit cards, since this will work against good credit. Credit scores are based on paying back what you borrow on time. So pay back on time. If you can't, work with a credit counseling company to consolidate your loans. They can often negotiate down the amount you owe as well as the interest rate.
