How To Own A Private Holiday Home And More

By: lynthomas Home | News-and-Society

YouMe Support Foundation has these kids at its heart. Since 2004 guests to Seachange Lodge, Port Vila, Vanuatu have helped the proprietors, Rick and Wendy Tendys, to send desperately needed school provisions to these far flung island communities. Now the private holiday home and six luxury holiday apartments are being given away in a world first through winaresort.com

The funds from this international first will go into a trust account to provide a high school education for the children from the outer islands of the Vanuatu archipelago (New Hebrides). The grants will be non-repayable so that these children have the possibility to fulfill their dreams of becoming a nurse, a doctor, a carpenter, an engineer, a teacher.

These northern islands are so remote that the government has admitted that it is powerless to provide support to the communities. Schooling to Grade 6 is not free. Classes are held in open air classrooms with hand carved wooden benches and stools, exercise books torn apart to provide writing paper, pencils snapped into thirds, reading books passed between students, and one teacher supported by assistants who themselves have immediately finished Grade 6.

Yet these kids smile and giggle, chatter and sing, and dream to be carpenters, nurses, teachers, pilots. Figures show that education across Vanuatu sees only one in four kids ever attending high school. In 2007 500 young people entered tertiary education.

In these â€no-cash-economies’ primary school fees are paid by goods, such as hand-woven money mats, chopped firewood, kava, shells and pig tusks - the most valuable of all custom items. Fees paid in custom method are accepted in the local communities. Living in these traditional societies the price of secondary education is usually beyond the community's means. Children have to be accepted into the few formal education places obtainable. Across Vanuatu 6000 children will sit the Grade 6 exam seeking to achieve one of the 1400 places available to continue their schooling. Acceptance often means leaving the tropical paradise island and traveling alone across the ocean to new islands, new communities and new experiences.

You have the chance to play a part in making their educational dreams become a reality. Your entry into winaresort.com gives you a chance to own the private holiday home and six luxury holiday apartments overlooking the cool waters of a Pacific lagoon. In a tax-free civilization you have the added bonus of being able to top up your superannuation and relax in the warmth and friendliness of the Ni-Vanuatu people. YouMe Support Foundation encourages your involvement in this once in a lifetime Blue Moon Opportunity.
