The human body produces a variety of odors in the form of volatile chemical substances that stimulate the sense of smell.
While most of these body odor are considered socially disagreeable, there are a few that are careful benignant some that are supposed to serve as attractants.
Those odors considered to be most harmful are produced in the intestinal tract, the mouth, on the feet, and beneath the arms.
Intestinal tract gas, known medically as "flatus," is a normal product of digestion. Flatus is generate when bacteria that exist in in the gut process the carbohydrates in food that cannot be broken down by digestive enzymes, or from swallow gas-containing substance such as carbonated beverages or excessive amounts of air.

Symptoms of Body Odor

Giving off unpleasant smell is the only symptom, which occurs in body odor. This may happen when a person is sweating.

It is seen that a person sweat either when it is too hot or he is very nervous or anxious. Such sweat usually has a foul odor emotionally involved to it.

Unpleasant body odor is experienced after a strenuous workout as well. Another state of affairs that results in body odor would be when a person is bare to extremely hot temperature.

The smell varies from individual to individual. Though the stink disappears after dip, it may come back right away if the person puts on the clothing he was wearing earlier.

Treatment of Body Odor
When excessive sweating and the resulting body odor is due to severe hyperhidrosis, the nerves that serve the sweat glands can be blocked with botox injections.
Several injections may be needed for optimal results. While this painful treatment stops sweat, it won't prevent body odor and isn't enduring - you'll need more injections in four to eight months.
Certain drugs, called anticholinergics, can help decrease sweating by blocking the actions of acetylcholine, a chemical courier helps to stimulate sweat glands.
This usually yield results in about two weeks but can also cause dry mouth, constipation, blurry vision, urinary preservation, loss of taste, faintness and confusion.
Home Remedies for Body Odor
1. To prevent remains odor, drink a glass of water in the morning, on an empty appetite, along with 500 mg wheat grass. The chlorophyll present in the grass will help in reducing body odor.

2. You can also apply baking soda to your armpits as well as to your feet, to diminish body odor.

3. While bathing, add alcohol or white vinegar to a mug of water and use it to rinse the armpits. This will certainly help in lessening the body odor.

4. One of the uncomplicated home remedies for body odor is to put a few drops of rose water in the bathtub, before attractive bath. It will give you a long lasting freshness and serve as a good substitute for deodorant.

5. To diminish the pH of the skin and remove armpit odor, one can use apple cider vinegar instead of deodorant. Put it in a mug of water and use it to rinse the armpits, while bathing.

6. Take showers, at least thrice in a day, in the summer season, when one tends to sweat a lot.

7. Prepare a homemade deodorant with the juice of about two dozen radishes and 1/4 teaspoon glycerin. Mix the liquids well and pour into a spray-top bottle. Spray this in the armpits to fight body odor. Remember to store it in fridge.dysfunctions.
