How To Quit Smoking Without Putting Up Body Weight?

Smoking has been regarded as the worst habit of all the habits one can have. It is said that even the drub addicts can stop taking drugs after going to rehabilitation centers but quitting smoking is altogether a different thing. First of all the availability of cigarettes is so much and accessibility is so easy that even if one thinks of quitting smoking he/she will be tempted time and again to start. Apart from the various harmful effects which is caused because of smoking there are many people who even don't know that they are smoking. Smoking has become a part of their life and they don't even actually realize that they are smoking in a particular moment unless told. Such is the worst condition of people who smoke. There are several methods and ways for quitting smoking. Many people have been successful also to quit smoking . However, a common complaint that came from people who have left smoking is that they had gained undue weight. Now the wrong notion that quitting smoking will lead you to gain weight has spread around. However, the fact is that gaining weight has nothing to do with smoking. Actually when you quit smoking then you tend to eat more in order to satisfy your smoking cravings. This is the prime reason because of which you gain weight.
However there are certain methods which if you follow after you have quit smoking, you will never gain weight. Firstly, drink more water as this will help you to keep full and hydrated. Quitting smoking will tend to increase your snacking requirements. So you need to keep a check over your snaking habits. You can resort to healthy snacks such as cut-up veggies, almonds, fruits or pistachios. You must also try to avoid unhealthy starches and sugar. Further you must also keep exercising. Otherwise you can keep up your physical activity. When you crave for a cigarette, take a walk outside with a soda. This will help you to overcome that feeling also and will also keep you healthy. You can also resort to some sort of therapies or meditation programs so as to overcome the feeling of these cravings. Once you have control over these cravings then you will be able to lead a normal life. Then you will out of danger zone and will not gain weight. So by following the above mentioned steps you can quit smoking without gaining weight.
