How To Remove Stretch Marks

By: Alfred Parteick Home | Health-and-Fitness

Stretch marks can occur for a number of reasons such as losing or gaining weight rapidly or, alternatively, building muscle bulk - a common problem in weight lifters and body builders. Discolouration occurs (stretch marks) as a result of the stretching or loosening of the skin and the production of collagen being disrupted.

Millions of women around the world have stretch marks and they are all looking for a way to remove stretch marks Probably the best way to treat this problem is the use of a stretch mark cream. The current stretch mark creams are virtually miracle creams. Creams like Revitols stretch mark cream work deep into the skin to provide the body with the nutrients needed to repair itself, and make your skin flawless again.

Lotions and oils: For centuries people have been using oils to condition their skin. Obviously they knew something! A daily regimen of lotion may, indeed, be all that is necessary for the reversal of your unsightly stretch marks. Probably one of the most effective creams is Trilastin with its naturally sourced peptides. Another option is Vitamin E oil from capsules you can find in the vitamin aisle.

Creams and oils, that contain vitamins which heal and maintain healthy skin, like vitamin E, can help to reduce the appearance of stretch marks. Many women also find a certain amount of success with cocoa butter, although it can also cause an allergic reaction in some people.

This is the most common type of stretch mark. During pregnancy as the baby is growing you skin gets stretched to fast your skin molecules cannot keep up resulting in those nasty red marks. When the baby is born you obviously lose the weight and your skin goes back to normal but the marks remain.

There are a few topical treatments available now that may be able to reduce the appearance of stretch marks. After some scientific study into the cause and remedy for this scarring, it has been determined that the replacement of collagen and elastin in the skin can reduce the severity of scarring and stretch marks.

Surgeries are very much effective in treating the stretch marks. This will be the real answer for those who ask how to remove stretch marks when they are seriously damaged by stretch marks. Treatments like dermabrasion and laser surgery are working but there will be a little pain to be experienced in the case of dermabrasion.

Oftentimes, finding for the right kind of cure involves long and extensive research however, not all people know that most of these remedies are found at home. This might not be a new statement since almost all kinds of health related problems, skin diseases and a lot more are mostly being medicated by home care remedies. For this reason, you need to widen your options and go for other alternatives that will not let you shed a big sum of money.

Chemical peels. This is done by a dermatologist, by removing a few layers of the skin which are affected by stretch marks, and when this happens, new layers of skin are formed, to even out the surface and color on the outside. More collagen is also formed, making way for a thicker, more elastic skin!

The creams which are effective usually contain ingredients like vitamin E, elastin, and collagen and retin A. With these ingredients you can successfully remove stretch marks. A cream which claims to contain these ingredients is the one produced by Revitol.
