How To Stop Hair Loss Naturally At Home

By: Charles Zoe Home | Health-and-Fitness | Diseases-and-Conditions

Losing one's luscious hair can be a traumatic and a life-altering experience. After all, amazing hair is right up there in the first impression category with great teeth and well-manicured nails. The most common form of hair loss in both men and women is androgenic alopecia (also known as androgenetic alopecia.) In males, this condition is known as male-pattern baldness because there is a well-defined pattern of lost hair -- over time the hairline recedes forming the "M" shape. To prevent hair loss naturally you will need to find home remedies using readily available foods and products. The process doesn't have to be difficult just follow these steps to avoid thinning hair or baldness.

1. Rub an onion slice on the affected area of your scalp. Stay at it until some redness occurs. Next rub in some honey. Adherents to this method say it will help boost circulation in your scalp and may facilitate hair growth.

2. Black Strap Molasses ~ Gulping down two teaspoons daily (although difficult for some) will do wonders for energy, overall well-being and absolutely beautiful hair and skin, which is possibly due to it's high levels of iron. Iron deficiency can be one factor in sudden hair loss. The people that swear by good old-fashioned molasses take it in a variety of ways. Try it to spice up coffee with a tablespoon, in warm soy milk as a mystical latte or even mixed in a couple of teaspoons of peanut butter.

3. Massage your scalp with rosemary oil in an olive oil base. Both rosemary oil and massaging the scalp can stimulate the circulation in the scalp and promote hair growth. Again, if you are experiencing hair loss, check with your doctor to ensure that a more serious disorder isn't the cause.

4. After shampoo, apply coconut milk all over the hair and let it work for 30 minutes. Then wash off with water. Coconut milk not only reduces hair fall but also provides extra conditioning to hair. Wash well otherwise the rancid smell of coconut may persist.

5. Add 4 tablespoons of henna leaves to a cup of mustard oil. Bring the mixture to a boil. Filter it and store it in a bottle. Massage the scalp a few times each week with his liquid. This is one of the best hair loss treatment.

6. Castor Oil ~ Strong hair is hair that will never abandon ship. In other words, a well-nourished gorgeous scalp will keep hair thriving and happy. Castor oil is the best oil I have found for incredibly strong, thick and voluminous hair. Mix a teaspoon of Castor oil into your shampoo directly into the palm of your hand, and follow with a half-teaspoon into your conditioner (both shampoo and conditioner should preferably be herbal, minus all the harmful irritants for the best results).

7. Exercise, do yoga, meditate or find some other practice that will help to reduce your anxiety and stress levels. If you wear pigtails, cornrows, use a curling iron, hair dryer or hot rollers, try changing your hair style to one that puts less pressure and stress on your hair and scalp.

8. Drink lots of water and eat fresh fruits, vegetables and pulses. A nutritious diet is the key to have strong hair.
