How To Unlock Your Mobile Phone

By: John Smith Home | Reference-and-Education | Science

Cell phones are bought and used, and then replaced often in these modern times. If you have a cell phone and are considering replacing it, stop for a minute and think about why. Is it because you old phone does not have the features that you want? Is it because your old phone is broken or breaking? Is it because you just want a change? Then by all means, replace your phone and enjoy your new cell.

If, however, you are replacing your phone because you want to switch service providers and your current carrier has locked your phone out, then you should be outraged. Why should you have to pay extra for a new phone just because the phone company wanted to hook you? You've customized your phone, got it the way you wanted it, and paid plenty for it, too. Luckily, there is a solution available to you that costs only a fraction of the price of replacing your phone.

If your service provider has locked your phone, then why shouldn't you just be able to unlock it? Programs are available online (like the one at www.unlocknetwork.com) that will unlock your phone for you and allow you to use it with any service provider. All you have to do is connect your mobile phone to a computer with internet, then log on, select your phone type, and pay for the unlock.

Like a locksmith letting you into the house or car should you lock yourself out, these services let you back into your phone and allow you to use whatever service you think is best. In a few easy steps, you thwart the phone companies who are trying to make you pay for an expensive new phone as the cost of switching services. For some phones you don't even need the cable, but can instead enter a pass code into the phone itself to unlock.

Mobile phone companies sell discounted phones to you, knowing that you cannot take your cheap new phone and find a new phone company. Now that you are in on their little secret, it is time to hit them where it hurts. Be a master of your own mobile phone, and enjoy the freedom of choosing your own provider. Unless, of course, you just wanted the newest camera-phone.
