As a young girl, at the age of 2, Patricia Lee won the battle against Neuroblastoma. At the age of 37, doctors removed a cancerous tumor from Pat's uterus and luckily, no treatments were needed. On Jan. 27th, 2005, Pat was diagnosed with Stage IIIC Breast Cancer and of course, that did involve several weeks of treatments. It was a long hard road, but today Patricia is cancer free. While obviously tramatic, these events inspired Patricia Lee to start her non profit organization, Athlete's Kicken Cancer (athleteskickencancer.com). While there are many organizations to assist patients with cancer, Patricia discovered there were not many benefits available to patients who survived cancer and their families. Athletes Kicken Cancer is funded by donations and by Patricia Lee's online store, Shop Shack (shopshack.org). Shop Shack offers cheap wholesale shopping to everyone and has a large selection of brand name electronics, jewelry, LCD TV's, apparel, toys & games, auto part; virtually anything you could think of. 100% of proceeds go to her non profit organization, Athletes Kicken' Cancer. This offers shoppers the convienience of online shopping, cheap wholesale prices, and the best part, purchases may be written off because all proceeds benefit Pat's non-profit cancer benefit! Athletes Kicken' Cancer offers scholarships and monetary awards to high school athlete's who have been affected by cancer, either suffering the disease themselves, or by being a dependant of a cancer survivor. For more information on Patricia Lee and her non profit organization, visit the website of Athletes Kicken Cancer. To help this worthy cause, please find out about sending donations, or if you are not in the position to just give money away (as many are not these days in the current economy), you can look into making any purchases you were considering at the Shop Shack. If you were planning on making any purchases, why not save money, write off the purchase, and benefit someone who has been a victim of a cruel disease. Now that is a win-win nobody should refuse!
