How You Can Easily Straighten Your Hair From Curly To Straight

By: Home | Women's-Interests

You wash your hair and you have the same old problem, how can I straighten my hair from curly to straight. There are a number of ways to achieve your desired results of which we will go through in this article. One method is to make sure that when you blow dry your hair to ensure that the hairdryer is pointing down, this will have the effect on the hair follicles allowing them to point down and will make sure your hair shines. It can also help to apply a heat protection spray which will also aid you in the straightening process.

Something that no person will be without is their hair straightener, these are an essential part of the process, if you have had your straightener for a long time it may be wise to check that they are in good condition and do not need replacing. They have now become more advanced and the newer ones can offer many more features which may help to protect your hair. The tips below will help you learn how to straighten your hair from curly to straight.

Wash your hair thoroughly before you start your straightening process. The best way is to brush the hair out and then just let it dry naturally for around fifteen minutes. If you want to do the process properly then adding some conditioner and some anti frizz spray would be a good idea at this point. Once you have allowed your hair to stand for the fifteen minutes then simply blow dry the hair until it is fully dry all over. Never use your hair straighteners when your hair is still wet, the only time you can do this is if you have the specialist ones that can now be bought.

Before starting with the hair straightening process ensure that your straightener has been heated to the desired level, if they are new or unsure then heat to a low heat and build up slowly. Take note that you are better to have them on a heat that is too low rather than too hot, however too low and you will never straighten your hair. Before continuing make sure your hair is brushed through once more and then grab a small amount of hair and work from the scalp down. Do not place the iron directly on the scalp else you run the risk of burning your head. Move it down at a nice gently and fairly slow pace. If you are new to using them then you may want someone to help you the first time until you feel able to complete the task by yourself.

After you have finished straightening your hair it is important not to apply any further products, adding anything to your hair afterwards and making the hair damp could have the reverse effect and you may find your hair starts to curl again. It is also recommended not to use your hair straightener more than around twice a week in order that you give your hair a chance to recover.
