Everybody reels under the economic slowdown and the volatility of gas prices adds more to the summer pain for US motorists. But don't worry! There is often a silver lining in a cloud. Hyundai brings that silver lining in the form of the Hyundai Assurance Gas Price-Lock offer. Hyundai helps the consumers to lock the gas price at $1.49/gallon for a year on select Hyundai models leased or purchased between July 1 and July 31, 2009. The qualifying models that fall under the innovative traffic-driving retail initiative are Sonata, Santa Fe, Elantra and Accent models. The offer also suggests the confidence Hyundai places on its fuel-efficient models. No matter what the gas pump price sign might say, the Hyundai's special offer protects the consumer against rising fuel prices by providing a partial credit for regular unleaded fuel purchases for one year. Hyundai customers can thus have that extra peace of mind over the volatility of gas prices. Under the Hyundai assurance, the consumer will be billed $1.49 per gallon for regular-grade gasoline, regardless of the price at the pump. Hyundai will pay the difference between actual gas price at pump and $1.49.The consumer can opt to purchase mid-range gasoline for $1.64 per gallon, or premium gas for $1.79 per gallon as well. The Gas Price Lock Program is offered in partnership with Pricelock, an innovator in the commodity price management solutions arena. Hyundai also announces cash back offers on select 2009 Hyundai models. You can buy a 2009 Sonata and receive $2000 as cash back. With the purchase of Elantra and Santa FE you can get $1000 each as cash back. The Hyundai special offer extends to 2009 Accent and Elantra Touring and both the models get additional cash back of $500 each with this gas price lock offer
