What I really like about affiliate marketing is that I don't have to even think about all the other aspects of running a business. These other areas consist of all the customer service issues like refunds, customer questions, and all the other time consuming tasks. It's just marketing the product and then getting the commission. But of course there's always the downside with anything, including making affiliate marketing sales. One being that it's not your product and you have no control of how it's sold and for what price. You just represent the product and you hope the merchant has done his or her job with all the other important issues to make the sale. Of course you want to make more profits with increased affiliate marketing sales. So how's it possible? Let me show you three good ways to increase your bottom line with Internet affiliate marketing. 1-Pick out and promote only the top tiered Internet affiliate marketing programs. There are boatloads of programs out there, so you have the option of being choosy. Be smart and pick ones that will be best for you. Some thoughts to consider are: A: Are they going to fairly compensate you for your affiliate marketing sales? Just pass by any program that's not willing to payout at least 50% of the sale. Just think you are really doing all the work to drive qualified traffic to their site. They don't have to do much to get the sale once everything is in place. All that hard work on your part deserves a fair commission. So make sure you know what you're worth to a Merchant. They need you more than you need them. When you deal with great programs, they will usually pay even a higher percentage of the sale. B: Are they going to actually pay you and on a regular basis? When dealing with a great program, they will pay you like they should and it will be at least once a month and better yet bi monthly. Please make sure you read the fine print of an affiliate programs requirements. You might make some sales, but never get paid for a long time because they require a minimum accumulation of revenue before they will disperse the funds. Most really good Internet affiliate marketing programs have no or low minimums for affiliate marketing sales. If you really think you won't be able to meet the requirements, then don't promote that program. There's plenty of opportunities out there that will fit your needs. C: How's their customer service? You're reputation is important and the company you represent can and will effect how people deal with you in the future. Don't deal with unprofessional merchants. Stick with quality merchants that will help build your good name on the Internet. I suggest you become a customer of the company you want to represent. Buy one of their products and evaluate the whole selling process. See how the transaction went and if the product is really all that they make it up to be. Then go ahead and return it and see how they treat you. If you want to really market this product with confidence and some passion, then this is a must do. 2-Build an opt in mailing list This is the thing to do if you really want to boost your affiliate marketing sales. So why is that you ask? Because building a subscriber list will help you make more affiliate marketing sales with greater conversion rates. It's really important to build a list of loyal and trusting subscribers. If you can accomplish this with your list, you will make good affiliate marketing sales consistently. I can't really talk about all that is involved on this topic, so I'll give you a brief overview of what it takes to build a list. A: Write or have written quality information in the form of a report or mini-course. If it is on a hot topic or solves a lot of peoples problems, people will want to know about it B: Make yourself an opt in page that will entice your prospect to want to opt in for your information. C: Deliver relevant useful information to your subscribers and they will trust you and want to stay on your list. D: Have the intent of continually helping those on your list. Give then content they can use and also mix in offers to your list. As your prospects learn to trust you, they will feel comfortable buying from you when you send them recommendations for products and services. 3- Ask the affiliate program for a better piece of the profit. Ask the merchant for a greater portion of the sale of the affiliate marketing sales. I'm sure they don't want to lose you as as an affiliate so they might agree and you might just be able to make more with each sale. To sum things up, only work with the best affiliate marketing programs. Build your list and market to them over and over again. Finally if you are really an asset to the merchant, ask that they reward you by giving you a higher percentage of the commission.
