The wisdom tooth or teeth are the last ones to grow in one’s mouth. They usually arise between the ages of 17 and 20. The thing with wisdom tooth or teeth is that they might not grow naturally and result in Impacted Wisdom tooth. The reason for this is that the wisdom tooth might get stuck in the gums and not grows out completely. This is what the dentist would refer to as impacted Wisdom tooth or teeth. This could result in overcrowding in the jaw or there being no space for the teeth to erupt. This will then go on to turn the teeth into a wrong angle and result in a lot of problems for the person. Once the wisdom tooth gets infected you might also have a lot of pain and will have to visit the dentist immediately. The thing with wisdom tooth is that each of them are different and one never knows how they will grow. Even the amount of impaction will differ, the way the wisdom tooth slants and the effect that it has on the other teeth. Impacted Wisdom tooth or teeth can go on to cause a great deal of trouble and problems if they are not addressed right away. If the impacted Wisdom tooth or teeth is troublesome then you will need to have it removed by surgery. This is the best option to keep an end to your impacted tooth woes. An unnatural position for a wisdom tooth will mean that you will have to deal with it growing in the most unnatural of position. The dentist will recommend x-rays to be taken that will let them know of the extent of the impact and to find out what will be the best way to address it. The degree of the impactation of the wisdom tooth will decide whether you should have it extracted or not. The problem with the impacted Wisdom tooth or teeth is that because of it erupting late there might not be enough space in the mouth for it to come out completely. Also, you will find that the lack of space for the wisdom tooth to erup will result in it not being able to erupt properly.
