Importance Of A Good Logo

By: Sparh MIC Home | Computers-and-Technology | Web

Helping your business accomplish its objectives and making an impact is attained if customers are allowed to easily identify the product or function you provide them. Most of the business houses today are growingly aware of this, thus realizing the value of their brand in conquering and sustaining the attention of customers. Most of the companies don’t give much importance to the brand value and hence their service or product may not be able to operate in a way that creates awareness about the brand.

Here the question arises as to what is the real importance of a brand image for a company. A brand is not just the logo of the company, but it has far more responsibilities of giving shape to the perceptions and the overall feel of the company. The logo is the graphic representation or symbol of a company name, trademark, and abbreviation etc, which is uniquely designed for ready recognition of the company and constitute the experience which the targeted audience can expect while interacting with the company.

The key for creating a good logo design

The creation of a great logo is a daunting task, especially with the number of options which are available. Time has made it apparent that the most successful logo designs are the ones which are the simplest in existence.

There are various examples which prove this point, such as two gold arches will always make you think about McDonald’s. An apple will always make you think about Apple computer line. Both these companies have a simple logo, but the impact they have on the audience is immense. Consider the example where a consumer eats an apple and thinks of the Apple Computer line. This will always result in an increased sales capacity for the company.

Great designs have to always use the minimum colors as complex designs are not considered good for the brand value of the company. The logo is usually used by the company for printing on the uniforms, letterheads or may be on coffee mugs. Lot of colors make this process a costly affair and hence is not economically viable for the company.

But things have changed a lot over the years. With the advent of Web 2.0, the logos have become more colorful and shinier in appearance. This is not bad at all if you are able to catch the fancy of the consumers in a proper manner. But in the end it is always recommended to keep the designs as simple as possible for connecting with the prospective audience.
