In India marriages are use to made in regular and festival type of events. They are all done in a good manner and the people in that enjoy from the both side. The marriages are done in some steps. First the mother and the father mostly goes to se the girl and then they decide if they want to marry both or not. If they agree then they both go for formal wedding and some further steps are taken in this regard. The kundli" is taken and the shub mohrat" (Best date to marry) is found by a Pandit. Then the pandit allows to marry them on a specified date. They both are married in a regular hindu style be taking rounds about the fire and promising for some relations and all. Then the celebration of the marriage ends and both the men and women are then taken to a separate room. There they have sex to have a child. This is how an Indian marriage takes place. The parents and the relatives chose for the men and women to give their gifts for the marriage. All the ceremonies are celebrated in a good style and the environment is made as to rejoice both the parties. That is how a formal wedding ends in India. This was the formal, arranged marriage campaign. In love marriages mew and women find them by themselves and then gets married. What was once understood as the norm amongst Indians: arranged marriage is starting to subside. Meeting through matrimonials sites is now the rage. The traditional Indian folk would find a partner for their sons/daughters by letting people in the community know that their child was available. Parents of other available children would get the word and try to make a match. Then things shifted a bit to where people post matrimonial advertisements in the newspaper.
