Improve Vision Tips

By: altruist Home | Health-and-Fitness

There are a lot of people who are fatalists when it comes to eyesight. Once their vision gets bad and they have to put lenses or wear spectacles, they start to think that it is the end of the road for their ocular health and imagine the worst for their eye and eyesight. They do not even think to look for natural solution to improve vision and get better vision without glasses.

Your eyes are much the same. If you don't look around at many things and allow your eye muscles proper movement, your eyes can become strained, worsening your vision. Eyes need to move, constantly. If you focus on any one thing for an extended period of time, you will start to notice eye strain. One way to improve vision without glasses is to constantly exercise your eyes.

For 18 months, 29 volunteers received 6mg of lutein combined with other vitamins and minerals per day. Their visual acuity, both at near and distance were measured before supplementation began, again at nine months and again at 18 months. There was no evidence that daily supplementation had any effect.

Lutein is an eye pigment, found in the macula area of the retina. It helps protect against high energy light and the results of oxidative processes that go on there. One must always include the companion pigment zeaxanthin, which is found in the more peripheral area of the retina. The two are often described as macular pigment.

The only problem with the study is that researchers did not measure blood levels or retina pigment concentration before or after supplementation, but when it comes to the prevention of age-related eye diseases, the concentration of pigment in the retina, and specifically in the macula, is the most important issue.

Another eye exercise to improve vision is called palming. This is actually a follow up exercise after sunning. To execute this, you need to sit in front of a table and put your elbows on it. Make sure that when your elbows are placed on the table, your palms are at the same level as your eyes are, without having to stoop or lean forward. Close your eyes and then cup them with your palms. Breathe in and breathe out. Then open your eyes. Do this for ten times. These eye exercises to improve vision are very easy and do not require any expense.

Eye exercises improve your vision and at the same time are quite relaxing and rejuvenating. They are a stress buster. If you do these exercises regularly, you'll notice an improvement in your memory recall too.

Swinging - Swinging is a simple exercise done to loosen up tension in your spine, shoulders and your back. By swinging for around five to ten minutes a day, you'll be able to improve your vision significantly. First, stand with your feet shoulder length apart and your back straight. Turn your upper body a full 90 degree until you are looking at the other end of the wall. Return to the original position and do the same on the left.
