Educational process should be supported with such university operations as waste and venue management. In case of failure of either waste or venue management operations faculty work will be interrupted. Analyzing both systems one can notice that they possess certain disadvantages: insufficient number of supervisors of these systems, conflict of maintenance duties of people in charge of both systems and, finally, disability to handle emergency situations. So, instead of traditional way of waste and venue management, a new method is proposed in this paper. First of all, the number of supervisors can be reduced if new employees are properly trained and ready for unexpected emergency situations. Furthermore, the United States Environmental Protection Agency requires to provide future supervisors with adequate training. New operation system can be worked out taking into considerations such factors, as the level of service delivery, improvement of employees' work and organizational impact. Except for venue supervisor, it is necessary to hire venue booking administrator, since this new position will enhance information flow. Secondly, it is recommended that employees in charge of these systems should be placed in the buildings with potentially high number of students, for example large lecture auditoriums. To justify such placement of supervisors, it is necessary to outline the disadvantages of this structure: each supervisor will be able to solve any unexpected problem much faster, as well as focus on maintenance and students' safety in the building. Thirdly, officials of university should make sure that supervisor is informed about all safety guidelines and regulations set by the United States Environmental Protection Agency. Evaluating proposed improvements it can be emphasized that reduction of the number of employees will lead to the reduction of the costs, especially from the long term perspective. In the beginning, the faculty may experience additional expenses connected with provision of necessary training, but they will be of less significance due to the beneficial long term results. To sum up it is a matter of comparing short term costs associated with training and benefits of effective organization of waste management. So, university officials are ought to make decision based on the implementation of great level of safety of students, not short term expenses.
