Indian Wooden Handicrafts have occupied a traditional place in Hindu history, instructions in the holy books have been found regarding wooden doors in homes. Another Indian wooden handicraft which is a example of one of the oldest types of handicraft is the painted wooden toy as well as wooden jewelry box. These toys have been discovered in the ruins of the oldest civilization in Asia of Mohenjodaro and Harappa. Different types of designs are available. Wooden pots and wooden vases which are used for flowers are also very popular. They are available in different shapes, models and designs. The exports of Indian wooden handicraft have ballooned like other products being made in the country. The reason for their popularity is due to the world wide fascination with cultural diversity of the country. Indian wooden craft is not only popular due to its exception and varied designs but also because of the fact that they are a unique bend of traditional and modern culture.
