Whatever educational level you are in, assignments will always be a big part of your school work. And these assignments come in many forms †take-home quizzes, situational problems, and of course, essays. Mostly essays in fact. And more often than not, these assignments can make or break your average. They become the basis as to whether or not you have fully learned and applied the lessons at hand. In making assignments, or more aptly in writing essays, the following points must be considered to make sure that you’re on your way to an A plus. 1. Select a topic of intense importance or high interest to you. In many cases wherein the professor allows students to choose a topic of their own, be sure that you consider your own preferences than any other factor during the process of selecting. This gives you motivation if nothing else. Choosing a more popular topic or a topic with hundreds of resources won’t guarantee you of a good essay. Mostly essays in fact. Go online and offline for resources. A lot of students have depended to the internet for more than half of the things they need. If you intend to submit something really good, you must broaden your horizons. Go out of the box and search for additional information from printed materials, periodicals, and similar things. If you can, interview experts on the subject to give yourself a different perspective about the topic that you’re working on. 3. Be straight and up to the point. Once you got all the materials and information that you need and you’re ready to write, make sure that you organize your thoughts very well. Always keep things nice and simple. No professor likes beating around the bush and they all detest the use of flowery words. These won’t impress them †only your bare ideas would. Mostly essays in fact. Voice out your opinion. A paper is nothing but a lifeless paper if it is simply written around the data acquired. Incorporate everything that you know, believe in, and stand for in your essay.
