West Warwick, RI †August 24, 2010â€"Inskip Nissan will be highlighting Nissan’s new product, the Nissan LEAF â". The Nissan LEAF â" is the first 100 percent electric car, which will be available to the public in December and in Rhode Island later in 2011. The Nissan LEAF â" will be on display this Thursday for a special public viewing from 10 A.M.-6 P.M. at Inskip Nissan. This is the first appearance of the Nissan LEAF â" in Rhode Island. In connection with â€Project Get Ready†and Rhode Island’s â€Green Initiativeâ€, on Friday, August 27th, the State of Rhode Island will reveal its first charging station. Inskip Nissan is proud to announce that it has made the commitment to embrace â€Project Get Ready†and the â€Green Initiative†and will be the second of 10,000 electric charging stations available in the state of Rhode Island. Inskip Nissan will be the first retail automotive dealer and first Nissan dealer in the northeast to have the charging station. Inskip Nissan has backed this particular initiative in Rhode Island as an example of Manufacturers’ independent retail operations and state and local Governments working together.
