Personalizing and installing ceramic tile in bathroom can be fun and easy. What does it take? A little patience and dedication, and lots of enthusiasm and you can make that tiled bathroom floor of your dreams come true! You'll find that installing ceramic tile in bathroom is easy to accomplish simply by following these tile installation instructions.

One of the first important things you should remember is to proceed only when you have the right tiling tools. A tape measure, some chalk and string, a tile cutter, and a pair of tile nippers, tile spacers, a notched trowel and a rubber grout float are what you will need for installing ceramic tile in bathroom floor.

Laying Out Walls - The first step is to lay out your walls. Start by finding the center of your wall. Draw vertical and horizontal lines and mark the intersecting lines. These will be your reference lines for your tiling work.

Your walls should be clean and free of dust and debris before installing your ceramic bathroom tiles. Don't forget to repair the cracks and fill in the gaps and holes in the floor. Get strong tile thinset mortar or tile adhesive for installing ceramic tile in bathroom floors -- the type that prevents moisture intrusion when it dries. You can choose from a wide selection of tiling mortars and tile adhesives.

Always start at the reference point you just laid out. Do regular checks when you're installing ceramic tile in bathroom so you can make sure that all your tiles have bonded properly and consistently. Place your tile over it and press the tile down firmly in place. Give it a slow, twisting motion till the ceramic tile is firmly in place. Duplicate this procedure with the rest of your ceramic tiles. To get a consistent tiling, place tile spacers on all the spaces between your ceramic bathroom tiles.

Dry Tile - After installing your ceramic tiles, leave them to dry overnight. Once they've dried, you can start laying in your grout. There are two main kinds of grout for installing ceramic tile in bathroom: Sanded or unsanded grout. For tile spaces that are more than an eighth of an inch wide you can use sanded grout.

Grout - For smaller tile spaces, use unsanded grout. Try to angle your rubber grout float and press firmly down when installing ceramic tile in bathroom. Check for pockets of air and dab these spaces with more grout. Let the grout set for a bit and wipe off any excess grout with a damp sponge. Rinse your sponge regularly so you can get a cleaner and better finish. Then, wipe your new ceramic bathroom tile floor dry with some clean rags. Leave your tiles overnight to let it dry out completely.

Wasn't that easy? Installing ceramic tile in bathroom DIY-style can be easy and can give you a lot of satisfaction. Follow these instructions and you won't go wrong. So, try installing your ceramic bathroom tile floors now!
