4.Exercise: Intense exercise can wreak havoc on your body, often causing irregular periods.

Treatment for Irregular Periods

Your gynecologist will refer to your medical history and conduct a physical examination. As irregular menstrual cycle is treated according to the cause, it is determined with a blood test, ultrasound and biopsy.

Often hormonal imbalance will be the major cause for irregular periods, which can be treated with fitting drugs or hormones. Surgical removal of polyps or fibroids may also be done, if required.

Treatment for irregular periods is also based on your plan for children. If you decide to have pregnancy, then a hormonal contraceptive or supplement will be prescribed to regulate your menstrual cycles.

Home Remedies for Menstruation Problems

Safflower seeds are highly valuable in the menstruation treatment. It can be taken as a drink by boiling two teaspoonfuls of dried and powdered safflower seeds in 120 ml of water.

Diet for menstruation - Among fruits papaya is highly beneficial when suffering from amenorrhoea.

Menstruation remedy - semi a teaspoonful of sesame seeds powder taken with hot water twice daily helps in reducing the pain. This is one of the effective home remedies for menstruation
