Jeep, Truck, And Suv Bushwacker Fender Flare Kits

By: Shawn Truson Home |

Bushwacker fender flares extend factory tire coverage. Taller and wider tires are one of the first changes off-roades make to their vehicle, however many states have laws against them. One solution is to cover them with wider fender flares.

Bushwacker fender flare kits replace factory fender flares. They give the vehicle an aggressive appearance. They also protect it from road debris thrown up by the tires. Their main purpose is to cover tires that "stick out" beyond what the factory tires did and keep it within compliance of the law.

To understand how fender flares work, take a look at unmodified Jeep, truck, or SUV. Stand behind it in a position where the front and rear tires on the same side line up with each other. You'll be able to see that the tires are completely covered to their outermost edge.

Vehicle manufacturers intentionally designed it this way so it could be licensed to be driven in the U.S. The problem when installing larger tires is that it's likely that the tires will stick out past the manufacturer's spec. Bushwacker fender flare kits will eliminate this.

Bushwacker fender flare kits have several advantages...

* Protects your paint from rocks and rock chips caused by wide tires.

* Protects the cars around you from rocks (or other road debris) that may be in your tires.

* Prevents your tires from throwing water (spraying) when driving in rain.

* Adds a new, bolder look to your vehicle.

* Legalizes your vehicle.

Bushwacker fender flare kits for Jeep, truck, or SUV models extend tire coverage at varying widths, but typically range from 2-inches to 6-inches. With this variety, you should be able to install just about any set of tires on your vehicle without the hassles of legal issues that come along with large tires.

About the Author:
Covering your oversized tires is a breeze with fender flares. Several companies today make fender flares for most 4WD Jeeps, trucks, and SUVs. Fender flares are more commonly produced for smaller vehicles (ie: non-full-size) because slight increases on their tire sizes can have drastic effects which need to be covered up. MY4BY OFFROAD parts offers a wide selection of flares.
