A vaporizer is a device used to inhale vapors of marijuana without production of harmful carcinogens. Carcinogens are produced from burning of the materials. Vaporizers use a source of heat to burn marijuana. This heating element burns marijuana for producing vapors. Material is heated at a temperature below its boiling point to produce vapors. These vapors are like thin mist. Production of carcinogens and harmful toxins is reduced as marijuana is not heated at a very high temperature. Important chemicals from cloud of vapors are collected in a small area made of glass. These vapors are inhaled through a tube which is connected to this glass area. A vaporizer is not at all cumbersome to operate. It is very easy to use. The substance whose vapors are to be inhaled is kept in a dish and then the vaporizer is turned on. The turning on of the vaporizer is indicated by a small light. It takes just few seconds for material to heat up for production of vapors. Once an optimum temperature for production of vapors is reached, then these vapors can be seen in the glass chamber. These vapors resemble fog of winters. This fog of vapors is inhaled through glass tube. Thus in this way herbal puff is inhaled from a newly invented safer device. Some studies show that vaporizers are as bad as smoking while others deny this theory. They say that vaporizing is healthier than smoking as it can prevent many respiratory problems as bad effect of vapors on lungs is much less than the effect of smoke. This is achieved as practically no smoke is produced instead just vapors are produced due to low temperature attained by heating element. Because of low temperatures herbs do not produce any harmful carcinogens and other by products of burning. Thus the cause of lung cancer is reduced by the use of vaporizers. Also some studies indicate that harmful effect of smoking on throat is reduced through the use of vaporizers. The vaporizing technique gives twice active components than smoking. Vaporizing is a method in which the herb is heated to a temperature at which active components from it are released without directly burning the herb. Very material used for production of vapors has its own temperature of releasing vapors. The factors according to which vaporizers can be rated are flavor, efficiency, wait/session time, vapor/smoke ratio, style used, portability, versatility, value, and the satisfaction produced. All these factors account for rating of a vaporizer. Some people rate the vaporizer just ob the basis of its flavor while for others its portability is main factor. Thus it depends upon person to person how a vaporizer is rated.
